Your Spending Habits In A Marriage

Money, money, money. How important is money in a relationship? Well if you

ask anyone and first thing they will likely say is money should never be an issue in a relationship as long as there is love.

This is what it should be, but the reality is that money is very important, that’s why money is always up there as one of the main reasons for arguments and divorce.

Money values must match for the marriage to last long term.

In a partnership what you do also affects the other party.

If you overspend it also means less money available for your partner.

This means they won’t be happy, especially if they think you are wasting the hard earned money they had a hand in earning.

It also makes them feel taken advantage of. No one likes to feel taken advantage of, you wouldn’t too if it was too.

So when you spend you have to also consider your partner if you want your relationship to last.

If you feel your partner is too tight, and living with them is suffocating with money then obviously you are mismatched. There really is no long term solution to fix this mismatch. This will continue until you both break up.

Therefore the conclusion is, it’s best to choose a partner with the same values and attitude to money as you have.
